Ep. 7: Future Self Visualization: Meet Your Highest Self

the tool Olympians use

You can also listen via Spotify and Apple.

Hi my sunshines!

This episode—the finale (!!!!!!) of season one of The Path Less Traveled—is the guided future self visualization I promised a couple episodes ago!

This tool is pure magic. Olympians use it, along with countless other people living out their dreams. And to be quite frank, the episode is amazing. I was really tapped in.

If you can’t listen right now, take one minute right now to schedule 20 mins on your calendar to listen in a quiet place.

In this episode, I’ll guide you through a visualization where you:

  • Meet your future self—your highest, happiest self

  • Notice how they look, live, work, move, and feel

  • Discover the small shifts you can start making today to feel more like them

I share about my own experience with the visualization and some tips to keep in mind at the beginning, so if you’d prefer to dive right into the visualization, jump to the 06:05 timestamp.

I hope this visualization brings you the same sense of clarity it brings me.

After I do a future self visualization, these steps help me take the impact to the next level:

  1. journal for 2 mins:

    • what did you see?

    • what did you feel?

    • what did you hear?

    • what did you smell?

  2. embody your future self on a 5 min walk

  3. put your vision somewhere private where you can come back to it regularly (e.g. a closet, your bathroom)

  4. ask your future self “what would you do?” in any moment you feel suboptimal or conflicted
